Amazonie — Framed Illustration

Inspired by the wild and generous breath of the Amazonian forest, « Amazonie » retraces the sinuous drawing of the great river as it serpents through the trees. This poetic illustration is born from the recycling of offcuts of coloured paper, cut, assembled, and glued in strata—like successive layers of vegetation superimposed.

The solar yellow of the river launches itself and undulates upon a background of deep greens—emerald, jade, forest—evoking the lush density of the canopy. A work that invites one to plunge into the green immensity, to follow the current and let oneself be carried away by the raw beauty of nature.
