Into the Forest — Diptych Set of Two Framed Illustrations

Two knowing glances from the canopy: the little bird, round as a puffed-up ball of feathers, and the owl with his unwavering gaze. Together they keep watch over the forest's secrets and observe the walkers below who dare to look up. A mischievous pair — equally suited to a child's room or to any space that calls for the reminder that all one need do is fall silent, and discover the life that stirs on every side.

This set includes:

• Into the Forest #1 Bird — A small bird perched amongst the branches, a mischievous observer of the forest's secret life.
• Into the Forest #2 Owl — An owl in his little house amongst the branches, solemn keeper of the forest's secrets.

Each work is made using mixed media: inkjet print on 250g kraft paper, hand-cut layers, superimposed and collaged coloured paper offcuts, with depth and layering evoking the intimacy of a diorama. Both are signed and dated 2025 by the artist Julia Ratsimandresy, framed at 15×20 cm, and delivered with certificates of authenticity.
