Maldives — Framed Illustration

Inspired by the legendary archipelago where the Indian Ocean sketches its lagoons in shades of blue, « Maldives » evokes those islands of sand and water seen from the sky. This poetic illustration is born from the recycling of offcuts of coloured paper, cut, assembled, and glued in strata—like successive layers of water superimposed between sky and seabed.

From deep night blue to radiant turquoise, passing through cobalt and azure, organic forms interlock and undulate—revealing here and there islets of golden sand. A work that invites reverie, to close one's eyes and feel the warmth of the sun upon crystalline water.
